Hosting - What are email accounts?

Almost all hosting providers offer email accounts as part of their hosting package. Some offer as few as 5 accounts, while others offer 100+ email accounts.

What is an email account? Lets say you started an online business and needed to setup different email accounts for sales questions, support, etc. You would login to your hosting account, then create an account called sales@yourdomain.com, support@yourdomain.com.

With these different email accounts, you make it far easier to sort your important business email from other email - thats the power of email accounts.

All email accounts allow you to forward email from those email accounts to other email addresses. For example, you could forward emails from sales@yourdomain.com to john@yahoo.com or john@aol.com.
